The Ten Home Initiative is designed to rehabilitate existing one and two-family homes, currently vacant, boarded and owned by the City of Poughkeepsie for tax arrears. Hudson River Housing acting as developer and general contractor, will take title to the properties, rehabilitate them using local sub-contractors and market them for sale to first time homebuyers. HRH will provide pre and post purchase counseling to the homebuyers and monitor the program.

HRH has also restored and resold at below market prices three single-family homes at 145 and 149 Mansion Street. The Ten Home Initiative will conclude with the sale of 142 Mansion Street and 91 North Hamilton in 2004.
