Wind Chill Fund Dinner to benefit the Dutchess County Coalition for the Homeless ~ Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Locust Grove
Hudson River Housing is holding its 4th Annual Wind Chill Fund Dinner on Thursday, March 18th from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie to benefit Dutchess County Coalition for the Homeless (DCCH).
DCCH is a sixty-bed emergency shelter program for single adults that provides case management services, two meals, shower facilities and a warm bed each and every night of the year.
This special event will include a dinner, live jazz, silent auction, and special guest speakers. Tickets are $100.00 per person. Seating is limited.

About the evening's entertainment:
Vince Prudente began his career with Lionel Hampton in 1959, touring and recording with him. During the 1960s, Vince toured with many big bands including Kenny Dorham/Joe Henderson, Frank Foster and Clark Terry. In 1968, Vince toured the US and Europe with Woody Herman. In 1972, Vince joined Duke Ellington touring and recording with him until his death in 1974. He stayed with the orchestra under the direction of Mercer Ellington. During his tenure with Ellington, Vince also played with Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Tony Bennett and Joe Williams. Since Vince arrived in the Hudson Valley in 1998, he has joined with two other spectacularly talented Hudson Valley musicians who have formed the Vince Prudente Trio.
Molly Renfroe Katz, Producing Director, Halfmoon Theatre, is a Hudson Valley resident, actor and singer. Her credits include: Broadway: By Jeeves; National Tour/Regional: First National of City of Angels, The Man who Came to Dinner at The Cleveland Playhouse, among others. NYSAF's Powerhouse Theater: Notes to Marianne. She was a member of NY's critically acclaimed adobe theatre company for over 10 years. Molly has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House, The Kennedy Center, Goodspeed Opera House and The Vineyard Theatre.
